Discover Flavor Of India North Cuisine

Flavor Of India North Cuisine offers an unforgettable culinary experience for anyone craving authentic Indian dishes. Located at 15930 Hesperian Blvd, San Lorenzo, CA, this charming spot brings the vibrant flavors of Northern India to the heart of the Bay Area. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of spices that promise to transport your senses to another world.

The menu at Flavor Of India North Cuisine is packed with traditional dishes that showcase the diverse and rich culinary heritage of India’s northern regions. Whether you're a fan of hearty curries, delicate rice dishes, or freshly baked naan, there’s something for everyone. A standout dish is the butter chicken, a creamy, flavorful delight that's rich but perfectly balanced with spices. The lamb rogan josh, another crowd favorite, is tender and cooked to perfection with a blend of aromatic spices that truly bring out the essence of Northern Indian cuisine.

For those who love a good vegetarian meal, the palak paneer-a spinach-based curry with soft chunks of Indian cheese-is a must-try. The dish strikes the perfect balance of flavors, and the paneer adds a delightful texture to the creamy spinach base. If you're looking for something a bit lighter, Flavor Of India North Cuisine also offers a selection of fresh salads and appetizers, like samosas, crispy pockets filled with spiced potatoes and peas that are ideal for sharing or as a prelude to your main meal.

The variety of naan options available-garlic naan, cheese naan, and plain naan-are baked fresh in the tandoor and perfectly complement any curry dish. The naan’s fluffy texture and smoky flavor are the ideal vessels to scoop up rich sauces, making each bite a little more enjoyable. Of course, no Indian meal would be complete without biryani, a fragrant rice dish that’s spiced just right and served with tender meat or vegetables. At Flavor Of India North Cuisine, the biryani is one of the finest you’ll find in the area, packing in all the depth and complexity of flavors that make this dish a classic.

What sets Flavor Of India North Cuisine apart is not just the quality of the food, but also the attentive service. The staff here takes great pride in ensuring every guest feels welcome and comfortable. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a regular, you’ll find that the experience is always warm and inviting. The restaurant’s ambiance is casual yet cozy, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and larger gatherings.

In addition to its exceptional food and service, the restaurant also provides a variety of beverages to complement your meal. Traditional Indian drinks like mango lassi and masala chai are available to provide that perfect balance of sweet and spiced. These beverages pair wonderfully with any of the rich, flavorful dishes and are the perfect way to cool off or refresh your palate.

For dessert, Flavor Of India North Cuisine offers indulgent treats like gulab jamun-deep-fried dough balls soaked in sweet syrup-and kheer, a creamy rice pudding flavored with cardamom. Both desserts bring a sweet, satisfying end to your meal and are sure to leave you craving more.

Flavor Of India North Cuisine isn’t just about food; it’s about offering a full experience that delights all the senses. With its commitment to authenticity, flavor, and friendly service, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the San Lorenzo area looking to enjoy delicious Northern Indian cuisine. • The best of the best Indian restaurants. I love this unmistakable flavor. I've become addicted to the smell and taste of their dishes, which bring so much happiness to my hungry stomach. Highly recommended. The service is also very friendly and pleasant, and the affordable prices are worth every penny of the experience this blessed place offers. Come, come.

  • great food and super nice staff. its our favorite indian restaurant and we go frequently but i do wish their entree portions were larger but that may just be because i have a big appetite. their sunday lunch buffet is great and had vegetarian/vegan options. i wish they had more chicken dishes for my dad (he doesnt like fish or lamb) but we’ll definitely go to the buffet again.

  • Seriously good food. We come on Sundays a lot for the buffet and there's always a great variety of all my favorite dishes. The staff is very friendly and professional. They also just made some upgrades to the space. The bathrooms and outdoor patio are so nice and clean. Definitely recommend coming here!

  • Nice Indian spot with a reasonable lunch special and plenty of parking. Went in on a Thursday for lunch for two and was a little surprised to see it completely empty with limited order traffic. We sat down by the booth and ordered a lunch combo and a lamb korma. The lamb was a bit dry in both cases but the sauces and flavors were otherwise there. We ordered the lunch special with a garlic naan (but should note that the naan itself wasn’t the most flavorful—could barely taste the garlic, though it was perfectly charred). Note, the combo is not on the menu and you only know it’s there if you see it walking in. There are three options veggie, lamb, and chicken curry with a side of naan, potatoes, and rice. Since there was no one else to serve, the server was attentive but really couldn’t explain the options (nor wanted to, to be honest). Would come again if we desire an Indian food fix but probably as an order out, rather than a dine in.

  • Probably one of the best and most flavorful Indian foods that I've had on a while. Stopped by after a performance at Chabot college and this was a great find for lunch. Went on a weekend and they had both buffet and ala carte. Will definitely go back again.

  • I didn't know this place was that popular. Customers were constantly in and out. And the phone was ringing off the hook with take out orders. I made my first visit on Easter Sunday and was seated right away. The indoor seating area was not too large. However, there was a large outdoor seating area. Inside the kitchen the men were busy cooking the delicious meals. In the dining area the women were busy serving customers. Service is just average and a bit chaotic because there didn't seem to have enough help. One short lady who was really adorable was doing most of the work. She was taking orders, serving, cleaning and busing. Although she didn't smile, you could feel her positive energy and enthusiasm. I wanted to take a picture of hers and give her a good review but she refused. The food I ate was delicious. The vegetable samosas we're not oily. They came with the mint sauce and tamarind sauce. I liked that they came in their individual saucer plates which was more sanitary, as supposed to big bottles shared by all customers. The mint sauce was my favorite. The tamarind sauce was too sweet and lacked that tangy touch. My main dish was rice and chicken vindaloo which was tasty but not spicy enough - even though spicy was requested. The chicken was all boneless which was a plus. Overall it was a good experience and I plan to come back to taste more of their dishes.
